The vast majority of believers, regardless of their religion, expect some form of eternal continuation of their existence after death. Christians and Moslims expect to go to either heaven or hell, and Hindus and Buddhists expect to be reincarnated.
Mainstream Christianity accounts for this continuation by postulating that each of us has a soul. But it has no clear and common idea of what a soul is, when a soul is born, how a soul affects the actions of its owner, or why it is is that a soul needs a body in order to be aware of itself.
As outlined in the lemma 'Who you are', QO has a natural account of the soul, from which follows that souls are eternal, need bodies to be aware of themselves, affect these bodies and are affected by them. This explanation is to be preferred. Additionally, QO has an explanation of what eternal life will be like.
