It is a central tenet of the Bible that God created man in His image.
Mainstream Christianity sees this statement largely as a literary device, as a way of expressing that God and man are sufficiently akin that they can communicate with each other meaningfully.
QO takes a more literal view. Man and God are ontically related: concepts that gave rise to God also manifest themselves in man. Presuming that God is a trinity, so too is man.
For this phenomenon, we do not choose between the explanations, but merely juxtapose them.
