Altruism is behaviour which is typical for, or at least frequently manifested by, individuals within a species, which is advantageous for populations within the species to which the individual belongs, but detrimental to the individual's prospects of reproduction.

Altruism is behaviour which is typical for, or at least frequently manifested by, individuals within a species, which is advantageous for populations within the species to which the individual belongs, but detrimental to the individual's prospects of reproduction.  It is exhibited in a wide range of creatures, including man, many primates, wolves, bats and even cellular slime moulds. 

Life phenomena

Life is a fascinating phenomenon. Many aspects of this phenomenon demand an explanation.

First and foremost on the list of things demanding explanation is that the universe appears to be fine-tuned for life. QO explains this by means of the QO multiverse.

Secondly, the sheer abundance of life demands explanation.
