Evolution is an explanation for the diversity of life which attributes biodiversity to change in the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations. Typically, this change is caused by processes which give rise to mutations in these characteristics, accompanied by processes in which the fittest get to reproduce.
In QO, evolution is driven not only by the survival of the fittest, but also by the arrival of the fittest.
Altruism is behaviour which is typical for, or at least frequently manifested by, individuals within a species, which is advantageous for populations within the species to which the individual belongs, but detrimental to the individual's prospects of reproduction. It is exhibited in a wide range of creatures, including man, many primates, wolves, bats and even cellular slime moulds.
Life is the result of natural purpose. It was produced by quantum systems which interact persistently with their environment only when their state amounts to the presence of life.
